We’re on the countdown to the opening of ticket sales for Shetland Wool Week 2023.
This year SWW is back to full strength and alongside the usual offerings, there are some exciting new add-ons for you to enjoy.
SWW is a community event, driven by our passion for Shetland heritage, Shetland sheep, crofting life, our textiles industry, and that special product Shetland wool. We’ve got plenty on offer, from Fair Isle knitting to lace, weaving to makkin belts, with croft tours, open studios, talks, markets and exhibitions taking place throughout the isles. Our curator Donna Smith has also helped to shape the content of the programme with a special focus on Mak + Do + Mend.

It’s going to be a busy Tuesday but please don’t panic if you’re unable to book your first choice of workshop. There is plenty going on throughout the nine days, and in fact we would encourage you to leave plenty of space in your schedule so that you get the chance to see the islands, go to the many drop-in events, attend a few evening talks, meet new friends … and relax.
Please do get in touch with us if you have any queries, but bear in mind we are a very small team!
We’re really looking forward to seeing you all in September.
